The validation policy describes when extraction is to be considered failed. While a strict policy expects that all requirements and constraints set by the schema are met, a lax policy will ignore missing fields.
The mode describes the type of processing to be performed. Extraction only will only return extracted markdown contents from the document, while the schema recommendation will generate a schema for it without mapping the data to it. The full process will perform all steps as applicable.
Enabling fast extraction can significantly speed up document processing, but may fail to understand very complex document layouts and logical connections.
